Big Tall Order Bristol Academy Flyers and Filton College Guard Tyrone Treasure today joined the best under 20's players in Great Britain at a week long camp in Essex ahead of the European Championships this summer in FYROM. Treasure a 6"5 guard who has impressed in 2 stand out seasons for the Division I mens team takes a step closer to the Olympic dream with his chance to represent Great Britain this summer.
Treasure will join British players from numerous European clubs and American Highschools, Prep Schools and Universities as they prepare for the summer championships. Under the guidance of head coach Tim Lewis Treasure has the chance to show the ability he has shown all season long with the Flyers. Treasure is an athletic guard who can penetrate to the basket and finish above the rim but also has a good mid range game as well as the ability to shoot the three. There will not be many players in Europe with the athleticism of Treasure and hopefully this willbook his place in the team ahead of the summer games.
This is just the first of a number of camps ahead of the tournament and in further camps the team will play other International opposition as they get closer to August.
All of the Flyers and College players wish Tyrone well and hope he is in action for Great Britain this summer.
